about

From the subscriber-only release "Time Is A Broken Lens".

This was recorded at Servant Jazz Quarters on April 18th, 2019 - I was headlining a gorgeous bass-centric night that featured the fabulous bass/drums duo Minus Pilots and double bass genius Tom Herbert. It was my first gig using Ableton Live as the instrument host for all the non-bass noises, which brought some fresh new stuff to the show, and some kinks that I've been ironing out since!

This was, surprisingly, my first proper gig of 2019 - but the feeling that the time I've spent working on other aspects of the music has been worth it is woven through this recording. At least, it is to my ears. I hope you enjoy it!
