This track is somewhat distinct from the others in terms of my approach to remixing. Most of the others have sampled an ambient, textural portion of the track and stretched, then augmented this. In "End in sight" I have taken the full track and layered arpeggiated synths, kick drum and clicky percussion. Sometimes, the base of the track suggests a particular production aesthetic and this was one of those cases. I know Steve is not keen on 4/4 kick patterns on the grid for his own use, but artists such as "The Sight Below" (Rafael Anton Irissari) use this to great effect below ambient textures.
