Marc Taksi Without a doubt my fav Steve album, right away. Well aware what must lie behind the blues and the drive in these tentative tracks, I find them just beautiful. Favorite track: The Courtyard.

JP I feel the introspection. I feel the wading through competing thoughts and emotions. And I do feel the hope. There is a, What you hear is what you get quality, from the heart, honest. The Waiting Game invites you to bring your own emotions and thoughts to the party, sit with them, share them with the music, and (for me) ultimately decide that, yeah, I can't wait to hear what the next album brings. Favorite track: The Waiting Game.

erikfm Thanks Steve for The waiting game. what a gem the album is. Enjoyed is last night and gonna enjoy it again tonight. ❤️

The Waiting Game was recorded between the end of Chemotherapy and the results of my PET scan in December. It is, not surprisingly, a fairly introspective collection, and pretty simply arranged for the most part - the set-up is the same for each track and there's some thematic consistency across the tracks, as I 'just played' whatever was in my head at the time. I think there's hope in here, a longing for future peace, for some respite from the uncertainty of waiting for results, relapses and the re-starting of treatment regimes.

At the time of writing, I know that the results are 'mostly good' but that there's going to be more treatment in my future - the day after I write this, I'll find out what that entails when I talk to my consultant. Maybe that will lead to a very different kind of music when I sit down to play whatever is in my head/heart.

I hope you enjoy this x
