Recorded live at Artefact on July 22nd, Days Like These is the first full album outing for my new Elrick SLC Mk II bass.

The gig itself was an absolute joy, and you can find the YouTube link to the video of the entire show in your subscriber email, or in the 'community' tab here on Bandcamp if you're a subscriber. If you're not, well you know what to do to remedy that :)

The title Days Like These is just an acknowledgement of what an absolute joy it is to get into a room and play music to people who want to hear it. It sounds simple, but it's never to be taken for granted. The whole evening at Artefact, from SiiSii's opening slot to the audience discussion/Q&A, through to packing up and chatting to people after the show was a true delight and a great reminder of what's so special about live music. It's not just the music, it's what the music makes possible between people. Music is the conduit for the rest of the meaning making, the soundtrack to this event, this meeting of minds.

If you were there, thank you! It was an absolutely pleasure to play for you. If you weren't, I hope you get some sense of what it was like to be there, and I hope I get to play to you wherever you are in the world soon.
