Laogong OK, don't laugh. I'm 71 and keep a blood pressure log daily but need to relax beforehand which I struggle with. Listened to first 2 tracks to unwind and concentrate on the music. Great reading both with my BP and inspiring me to pick up my fretless. Thanks Steve!

David Wright A selection of beautiful shades of blue here, some of them very deep. Those low notes on the B string especially get time & space to be appreciated. I've lost track of the number of times I've played through this in the last couple of days. :D

Steve Lee The great thing about the shorter radio-friendly formats is it leaves you wanting more! Lovely varied tracks and I think my fave is Sky, though the more classic 60s song like Ultramarine is a close second. overall the effect is more like Joni Michell's Blue, uplifting and inspiring. Favorite track: Sky.

Archimedes Woo This is deep. Favorite track: Deep.

Mike K Smith Really enjoying these shorter-form tunes from Steve. Much as I love the sprawling long-form improvisations, there's something to be said for being concise and to the point sometimes. Favorite track: Deep.

about

A set of short pieces exploring variations on the blues. None of them actually follow blues form, but are more a journey into blues phrasing and expression.

After the intensity of soundtracking cancer-related health stuff over the last few months, it was fun to play from a more detached music-oriented place, rather than a 'let's hit record and open a vein' kind of place. I hope you enjoy the highly bearable lightness of being, wrapped up in some otherwise quite melancholic sounding music :)

Ultramarine is the first recorded outing for my Schecter Stiletto (at least, I think it's a Stiletto, looking at the Schecter website - it was a present from a dear friend and sounds amazing!) The rest are on my lovely signature Elrick fretless 6 string.
